Monthly Updates from Webber-Camden Neighborhood Organization

📢 Welcome

Dear Neighbors,

Thank you to everyone who joined us for our Open House in our new offices at the Northside Epicenter! Your presence made this milestone moment even more special as we celebrated our new home together. Seeing neighbors, friends, and community leaders come together reaffirms the strength and resilience of Webber-Camden.

We also want to thank Anissa Keyes for pouring her love into this old building and bringing new ideas and growth to our neighborhood.

As we move into February, we’re excited to honor Black History Month with a special event highlighting the rich history and contributions of Black leaders in our community. Stay tuned for the full announcement soon!

Thank you for your continued support and dedication to making Webber-Camden a thriving, connected community. Here’s to a year of new beginnings and continued collaboration!

With gratitude,

Patricia Deinhart-Bauknight

Executive Director, WCNO

🙌 Youth Circles: Healing & Leadership

Our Youth Circles program continues to grow in 2025, with a dual focus on healing and leadership. Building on the success of last year’s trauma-informed healing circles at Olson Middle School and Camden High, we’re introducing a new train-the-trainer model.

This expansion empowers young leaders to guide their peers in trauma-informed practices while ensuring the healing circles remain a core part of the program. Together, we’re fostering resilience, empathy, and a brighter future for our youth and community.

🏥 Fremont Clinic: A New Grant for Neighborhood Health Services

We’re excited to share that Neighborhood HealthSource has received a state grant to enhance health services in our community! As part of this initiative, WCNO will lead Parent Classes for African American families, focusing on opioid education and youth well-being.

📍 We’ll partner with Excell Academy in Brooklyn Park and two Minneapolis Public Schools near Fremont Clinic to provide tailored resources that support students and families.
